Capsticks are delighted to announce that Martin Hamilton has been reappointed as the firm’s Managing Partner for a further term through to April 2023. Martin has been Managing Partner since 2017.

Key achievements during Martin’s tenure include:

  • Double digit growth year on year in Capsticks’ dedicated markets — in the Health and Social Care; Housing; Regulatory; and Emergency Services sectors.  
  • Expansion of Capsticks’ national footprint with the acquisition of a Housing practice in Chorley, Greater Manchester.  
  • A focus on its people strategy as a priority, with a key initiatives such as the Mindful Business Charter (to promote better mental health and wellbeing in the legal community), Women in Leadership in Law, the Race at Work Charter and Stonewall’s Diversity campaign.

Martin joined Capsticks in 1997 and was Head of Employment at the firm from 2010 to 2018. In 2017 Martin became Managing Partner elect for a year, jointly with Alison Morley as the firm undertook a strategic review, and since 2018 has been our Managing Partner in our Senior Management Team along with Rachael Heenan (Senior Partner) and Neil Middleton (Chief Operating Officer).
