The scheme was under contract within 6 weeks of the initial all parties meeting and was structured to allow the parties to have flexibility in the delivery of an increase or decrease of the number of units.
Acted for a South West based Registered Provider in setting up a Joint Venture with Galliford Try comprising a mixed use development of both affordable and open market units. Chimi lead a team of property, tax and corporate lawyers with the structure providing flexibility to allow the parties to put new projects in the JV without need of new structures. Since the inception the parties have used the structure to slot in various other projects. The value of the transaction over £74,000,000.00
Acted for a G15 RP on the purchase of a scheme of over 220 units from a leading house builder with value of transaction exceeding £33,000,000.00. Work involved, due diligence, planning, construction and VAT sheltering.
Lead a team of lawyers on the acquisition of 150 units for a large Registered Provider in the south of England from a major house builder with the value of the transaction exceeding £14,000,000.00. Work involved due diligence, planning, construction and VAT sheltering

Provided corporate support on the set up of a Joint Venture vehicle that was set up for the purpose of constructing a new town in the East of England, 8 thousand residential units, associated commercial and completed with schools and a train station, value of the transaction in excess of £1,200,000,000.00
