Claims Management Service

Nominated for Legal Services Provider of the Year

Capsticks’ claims handling service provides NHS organisations with a secure, professional and cost effective way of dealing with their claims. As lawyers specialising in healthcare we work closely with our clients’ legal departments to understand the challenges they face daily with capacity, staff retention, the increasing number of claims and pressure to reduce costs. Our claims management team deal with claims at any stage of proceedings including employer’s and public liability claims as well as clinical claims. We tailor our service to the individual client to maximise financial savings. We also provide valuable analysis on claims’ trends, which enables clients to reduce the number of claims in their Trust but crucially, improves patient safety and care.

The Regularisation Project with Community Health Partnerships

Nominated for Legal Services Provider of the Year

Capsticks have worked alongside CHP on their lease regularisation project since CHP took on the head tenant role across the LIFT estate in 2013. This is one of the largest leasing projects the NHS has ever seen involving over 800 tenants. The Capsticks team has worked as an integrated part of CHP’s business and helped developed streamlined procedures which have led to major time and cost benefits for CHP and the wider health economy. The close working relationship has led to excellent results with over 500 leases completed and many more to follow.

HR Advisory service with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear FT

Nominated for the Workforce Innovation Award

Following a significant period of restructuring across the corporate services functions, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust worked with Capsticks’ HR Advisory service to address a back log in Employee Relations matters and reduce the time taken to investigate cases. A key component of this was the Capsticks’ HRA team working closely with the Trust to transform and improve workforce process throughout the organisation resulting in a dramatic reduction in legal spend, and the number of outstanding cases. Our HRA team also delivered a comprehensive training programme to empower managers to drive culture change across the Trust to proactively minimise the time spent on employee relations.
