Lorraine previously worked as an established criminal defence lawyer at a reputable legal 500 law firm before moving to specialise in regulatory law. Lorraine previously worked at the General Optical Council overseeing fitness to practise (FtP) investigations in relation to a broad spectrum of complex and sensitive matters. Lorraine also worked at NHS England as a senior healthcare lawyer advising NHS trusts in relation to patient safety issues, policies and commissioning matters before joining Capsticks which enhances her knowledge and expertise in the handling of regulatory matters.
Expertise
Lorraine has appeared as an advocate before Fitness to Practise Committees. She has extensive experience in overseeing fitness to practise investigations and the preparation of skeleton arguments in relation to High Court applications.
