Experience

Jamie is an Associate in the Advisory team with over ten years’ experience as a solicitor. Jamie has an extensive background in civil litigation and now specialises in dealing with Inquests and Court of Protection matters.

Expertise

Jamie is adept at running inquests of varying complexity and advocates at a range of hearings both in person and remotely. He often attends inquests on behalf of NHS Trusts and housing authorities.

Jamie’s experience in defending local authority claims has stood him in good stead when acting on behalf of a North West local authority in respect of a complex inquest relating to the death of a driver on the highway. He has also been instructed by the same local authority to prepare evidence in an inquest relating to a death in a care home with complex safeguarding issues.

Jamie also takes on Judicial Review matters and acts on behalf of Regulatory bodies and NHS Trusts.

Notable projects

Jamie is currently working on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) pilot scheme looking into how AI can benefit the Advisory team, and by extension its clients, in making legal processes more efficient.
