Experience
Gerard joined Capsticks in 2011 and became a Partner in 2019. Gerard specialises in defendant clinical negligence and personal injury claims. Gerard leads the Capsticks’ personal injury team which deals with a wide range of claims on behalf of NHS Resolution and other clients.
Gerard also leads the Capsticks’ Claims Handling Service which provides organisations with a secure, professional and cost efficient way of dealing with the workload faced by their legal departments.
Gerard runs the Capsticks Diploma in Clinical Risk and Claims Management a nationally recognised leading training programme for claims and risk managers.
Notable projects
Before moving to the London office Gerard helped to establish the Capsticks Diploma course in Leeds and built strong links with a local University assisting with their vocational training program and helping law students gain an understanding of legal practice.
