Experience and Expertise
Alexander is an Associate in our Housing and Regeneration team and acts for housing associations and private developers. Alexander joined the firm in March 2019 as a paralegal and completed his training contract with the firm in 2023.
Alexander has experience in commercial property acquisition, non-contentious commercial lease transaction (both landlord and tenant), and ongoing asset management of commercial properties. Alexander has acted on a variety of property and share acquisition, and individual property asset purchases, in the residential care accommodation and special education needs schools sectors.
In the past Alexander has acted for Registered Providers of social housing on stock rationalisation and void disposals, including an £80mn security charging project for a G20 client.
Notable projects
- Part of a team advising on the property aspects of a facility agreement and joint venture with a major investment fund, which closed in June 2022, including ongoing work advising on property acquisition, commercial leases, and drawdown from and accession to the facility.
- Advising a landlord fund on the assignment of a portfolio of thirty leases together with the grant of new leases.
- Leading on the property elements of the acquisition of a specialised children’s care and education company, including acquisition of 5 properties and associated leaseback to tenants.
