Abi specialises in property-related disputes and contentious landlord and tenant matters for the healthcare, local government and social housing sectors.
Abi's particular areas of expertise include:
- Contentious commercial landlord and tenant issues including security of tenure under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, lease termination, dilapidations, consent applications, rent review and enforcement of obligations
- Boundary disputes, adverse possession, and the Party Wall Act procedure
- Advice on addressing and enforcing freehold covenants
- Claims concerning defects in new build properties, including claims against developers or under guarantees or insurance policies
- Statutory lease extensions
- Evicting squatters, traveller campsites and other injunctions affecting land
- Project support including removal of barriers to development
- Terminating market rental arrangements including serving notice and dealing with claims for dilapidations
- Advice on and claims relating to rights of way and rights of light

- Dealing with applications for registration of land as a town or village green or as an asset of community value, including public inquires.
