Clinical Risk Forum: Mental Health in Healthcare - protecting patients and staff

Join our Clinical Risk Forum on 28 February 2024 where we will be considering some of the challenges faced by healthcare organisations trying to ensure appropriate mental health support for both patients and staff.

You will be joined by:

  • Jennifer Harris - Legal Director in our Claims Division,
  • Lee Carroll - Principal Associate in our Employment Division and
  • Andrew Latham - Partner in our Public Law Division

We will be considering the scale of pressures on mental health provisions and services and considering how to:

  • Support Staff - with a view to keeping them in work and ensuring appropriate management if that is not possible.
  • Support Patients - during the consenting process, if capacity is lacking and more generally to prevent avoidable deaths.

Which will include practical guidance on steps your organisation should take to support staff and patients in order to prevent deaths and avoid allegations of discrimination and claims from patients.

Register now to join what will be an engaging and lively discussion from our speakers with plenty of opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

This webinar will be of interest to all those working in NHS Primary, Secondary and Community Healthcare as well as the Private Healthcare sector.

It will also be an important session for Medical Directors, Clinical Leads, Legal Services Managers as well as those in Human Resources, Governance and Risk within your healthcare organisation.
