Vicky O'Sullivan

Legal Director

Experience

Vicky is a Legal Director in the Real Estate department at Capsticks.

Vicky joined Capsticks from a leading international law firm where she spent thirteen years advising private and public sector clients on all aspects of commercial and development property work, including retail and mixed use development, portfolio investment acquisitions and management and occupier work.

Expertise

Vicky has worked on all aspects of real estate transactions for commercial clients and NHS Trusts including options, development agreements, acquisitions, disposals, lettings and general due diligence.

Notable projects

  • Acting for an NHS Trust on the acquisition and leaseback of land occupied by affordable housing, for future development as a new multi-storey car park. This is part of a wider scheme by the Trust to dispose of surplus land on its estate and included negotiating a complex compensation arrangement for early termination of the leaseback by the Trust.
  • Acting for an NHS Foundation Trust on a set of conditional option agreements for the disposal of three parts of the Trust’s site to raise funds towards a £100m new mental health hospital development on its retained land. The transaction is part of a plan for a long term collaboration between the Trust and a University to provide a state of the art facility for mental health research and care. The planning, funding and development aspects are complicated and we have provided commercial as well as legal support at each stage of the negotiation.
