Experience
Vicki is an experienced Legal Director in the real estate team. Since joining Capsticks in 2007, Vicki has provided close support to NHS, charity and local authority clients on a wide range of real estate matters and projects.
Expertise
Vicki’s work includes dealing with the acquisition, disposal and development of sites, negotiating commercial leases and general landlord and tenant law. Vicki has provided lead property support on many large-scale projects, including NHS LIFT and PFI projects, PCT/SHA property transfer and dissolution schemes and mergers and acquisitions. She has also advised central NHS bodies on the development of standard occupancy documentation and NHS estates policies.
Vicki’s recent work includes developments of NHS staff accommodation and retail facilities involving multiple parties and complex transactional structures.
Vicki is currently dealing with a number of major high profile capital development projects, including a mixed use town centre regeneration project, and is advising on the initial stages of two new hospital HIP developments.
Vicki enjoys a close working relationship with her clients, including Community Health Partnerships Limited - to which she was seconded in 2018. She has also worked as part of Capsticks’ Corporate and Commercial division, having been seconded for an extended period to provide project support on the national proton beam therapy project, PFI matters, joint ventures and mergers/acquisitions.
