Experience
Sara is a Principal Associate at Capsticks in the Insurance claims team. She specialises in Defendant clinical negligence, medical malpractice and has acted on behalf of NHS Resolution, private insurers and private hospitals.
Since qualifying in 1994, she has had more than 30 years’ experience acting in a broad spectrum of clinical negligence and personal injury cases for both Claimants and Defendant.
Sara has held several senior and managerial positions in house and in private practice. Previously, Sara was head of department for a major insurance company responsible for managing a large team of lawyers handing El, PL and Motor litigation for commercial insureds. She gained more than 10 years of experience dealing with insurance claims, often being instructed to deal with fraudulent and exaggerated claims.
Expertise
Sara manages a varied and complex case load. She has acted on multi million pound claims with multiple Defendants. She has provided external training to clients and has assisted with the Capsticks Diploma course. Prior to joining Capsticks she was on the Executive Committee of the Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers (SCIL), promoting best practice in the conduct of clinical negligence claims. She currently sits on the Lexis Nexis Editorial Board.
