Rebecca is an Associate in the Housing Management Division and a member of the Leasehold and Freehold Management Team.

Expertise

Rebecca developed her passion for leasehold and freehold matters through completion of her degree and master’s qualification. Her academic success was recognised by her university where she earned the ‘Land Law - Caroline Norton Award’ for achieving the highest awarded mark in the university’s history. During her master’s, Rebecca was placed on the Dean’s List for 2024 for achieving the highest mark in Property Law in Practice. Following successful completion of the SQE, Rebecca has chosen to pursue her passion and specialise in this area of law.

Having focused on complex civil litigation during her training, Rebecca is adept at navigating a range of complex and intricate legal disputes within the fields of housing litigation and defendant insurance.

Rebecca has experience in various areas of housing management, with specific expertise in complex leasehold matters and in representing public sector clients in a range of litigated legal disputes.

Rebecca also gained experience within the field of complex catastrophic injury claims pursued under public liability, employers’ liability, occupiers’ liability and vicarious liability. In addition to this, Rebecca dealt with high-profile abuse and social care claims pursued under the Human Rights Act 1998, in negligence and under the Children’s Act 1989.

Throughout her training, Rebecca represented public sector clients in high-stakes liability claims, including social housing landlords, registered providers and local authorities, with particular focus on breach of duty, housing management and safety, and vicarious liability.

Rebecca is also experienced in dealing with a wide range of civil matters, with specific expertise in civil litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules 1998 and has assisted in litigating matters in both the County Court and the High Court.
