Experience
Linda is a Principal Associate in our Housing and Regeneration team. She has over 10+ years’ PQE advising on high-value planning, highways/infrastructure, environmental and regeneration projects with a particular focus on acting for public sector organisations.
Expertise
Linda has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating complex S106 Agreements, providing strategic planning advice, Highways Agreements under s38 and 278 of the Highways Act 1980, CIL, Judicial Review, Planning Enforcement, Article 4 Directions and Certificate of Lawfulness Applications.
Notable projects
- 5 Kingdom Street, Paddington, London - 53,000m2 office led development – called in by the Mayor of London and approved;
- Advised on a strategy to save Brent Council circa £5m in Community Infrastructure Levy payments for a regeneration development;
- Lead lawyer on successful judicial review relating to rooftop development in Central London;
- Drafted and negotiated a s106 Agreement for one of the first community led schemes in the London Borough of Southwark;
- Drafted and negotiated s106 Agreements for 100% affordable housing schemes across Central London boroughs;
- Advised on nationally significant and high-profile infrastructure and energy projects such as HS2 and the Cumbria Coalmine litigation at DLUHC;
- Friars Bridge Court 41-45 Blackfriars Road – Section 106 Agreement for 22 storey office led mixed use development securing over £2m in Crossrail contributions;
- Drafted and negotiating S106 Agreements for two hyperscale data centre schemes (one for a Big Five US tech company) in West London
- Drafted and negotiating s106 Agreement for a co-living scheme in Uxbridge town centre
