Laura has extensive housing and property litigation experience, having acted for social housing providers, private landlords and tenants. She is an avid advocate, relishing the challenge of securing a successful outcome for clients. Laura advises via a risk-based approach to litigation, which benefits from her experience working on financial misconduct cases.
Areas of expertise include possession proceedings, advising on the Public Sector Equality Duty, tenancy deposit regulations, anti-social behaviour injunctions and housing disrepair.
As a student Laura co-pioneered the Heaney Watson pro bono law clinic at Liverpool John Moores, providing free advice on family and employment issues. She also volunteered at Halton Citizens Advice Bureau, as well as with her local Scout group where she was treasurer and trustee at and likes to get involved with local CSR projects.
