Experience
Helen advises a broad range of clients, including regulatory bodies and healthcare bodies. She advises on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on Employment Tribunal litigation. Helen regularly assists clients with claims involving discrimination, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and unlawful deductions from wages, while also providing advice on day-to-day employment law and workplace matters.
Expertise
Helen has experience advising on Employment Tribunal claims involving serial litigants in person, helping clients manage these matters strategically, pragmatically and cost-effectively. She also advises on complex and developing areas of employment law, including issues relating to transgender rights, protected beliefs and the use of social media in the workplace.
In addition, Helen has supported clients in complex Employment Tribunal litigation involving multiple respondents, as well as matters concerning Restricted Reporting Orders, Anonymity Orders and Civil Restraint Orders.
CSR activity
Helen is an active member of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, helping toorganise events and maintain relationships with Ahead Partnership, one of the Birminghamoffice’s partner charities.
Qualifications
- History with a Year Abroad BA (Hons) from Warwick University
- Post Graduate Diploma in Law (conversion course) and SQE
