Experience
Heather is an experienced Court of Protection solicitor, with extensive experience advising both NHS health bodies and Local Authorities as to a range of health and social care matters. In addition to regularly appearing before the Court of Protection on behalf of her clients, Heather also advises as to a range of matters, to include internal policy decisions and Judicial Review challenges, most notably having represented the Local Authority in the case of R (on the application of Worcestershire County Council) v Secretary of State for Health and Social Care [2023] UKSC 31.
Expertise
Heather qualified as a solicitor in May 2015. Following this Heather worked in house for a number of Local Authorities, going on to manage their Adult Social Services Legal Team. Heather joined Capsticks in 2025, supporting both NHS and Local Authority clients with a broad range of Advisory matters.
