David Collins
Principal Associate, Barrister
David was called to the Bar in 2010 and practised as a tenant at 33 Bedford Row Chambers, specialising in Professional Discipline.
Since joining Capsticks in January 2016, David has been a member of the regulatory team, working on conduct, competence and health investigations on behalf of a variety of regulatory bodies, including the General Dental Council, General Pharmaceutical Council, the Nursing & Midwifery Council, the General Chiropractic Council and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
David has developed extensive experience of progressing cases through the regulatory process from initial investigation to final presentation.
David has appeared as advocate before numerous committee hearings, and in the High Court on appeal. He has particular experience of managing complex and sensitive cases often involving multiple complaints from members of the public and recently provided training to National Regulators on Vulnerable Witnesses.
