Experience
Amita is an Associate within the Regulatory Team at Capsticks. She has 10 years’ experience of working within the in-house legal departments of health and legal regulators, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council, General Dental Council and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. She has worked in the legal department of a defence organisation for dentists and dental practitioners, where she led a team specialising in remediation and fitness to practise proceedings.
Expertise
Amita has extensive experience in investigating and preparing cases for fitness to practise hearings and professional disciplinary proceedings before specialist tribunals. This includes dealing with vulnerable witnesses, complex and high profile cases and assisting on cases brought before the High Court and Court of Appeal.
