Experience
Amelia joined the professional regulatory division at Capsticks in November 2025, having previously worked at another Legal 500 firm in providing regulatory advice to clients within the health and social care sector including NHS bodies, local authorities and independent healthcare providers. Amelia now conducts fitness to practise (FTP) investigations, including the preparation of cases for FTP hearings, predominantly for the Health and Care Professions Council.
Expertise
Amelia has experience in representing healthcare providers and supporting their registrant witnesses before Coroners at Inquests, with a considered and sensitive approach. Amelia brings expertise of provider-facing regulator enforcement functions included representing providers in appeals to the First-Tier Tribunal (Care Standards) in respect of decisions made by the Care Quality Commission.
CSR activity
Amelia is a committee member (formerly Vice Chair) of the Birmingham Law Society Pro Bono Committee and has previously attended the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee at Parliament.
