The NHS is operating in exceptional times but, despite the operational challenges and an extremely difficult January, capital programmes are progressing. Health projects, such as the flagship Government Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP), will be important for the construction sector during uncertain economic times.
The Construction Playbook sets out 14 principles and policies on how best to assess, procure and deliver major projects. It is designed to normalise best practice and implement evidence-based solutions to promote faster, better and greener capital projects. Compliance is mandated for many public sectors bodies (on a “comply or explain” basis).
