Mental Health in Crisis – A perspective from a practitioner and patient

Speakers:

Steven Wood

To mark this year's Mental Health Awareness Week, join us on Tuesday 14 May, where our experts will be taking a look at mental health from the perspective of a practitioner and a patient.

Our Principal Associate, Steven Wood, will be joined by Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Dr Lucy Shaw and Jack Nolan, one of the UK’s youngest Mental Health and Empowerment Speakers, where they will explore:

  • The technical process of being sectioned from a psychiatrist’s perspective
  • A patient’s perspective – a personal experience of being sectioned
  • Destigmatising mental health
  • Steps you can take to improve your mental health

Attendees will be treated to an engaging and lively discussion from our speakers and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
