Diana has extensive experience as a housing property lawyer in client organisations, leading regeneration teams at Thurrock, Enfield and Westminster Council, before going on to manage the Tri-borough legal services team (Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea London Borough Councils). She has advised on a wide range of transactions in the housing sector for over 20 years, including property development, planning, regeneration and estate renewal, with specialism in local authority governance, CPO, complex commercial leases, rights of light and the decanting of tenants and leaseholders.

Chimi Shakohoxha, head of Capsticks' Housing Regeneration team said "Diana’s market leading regeneration experience will further strengthen our housing and healthcare property teams nationwide. Her appointment is timely, with the Housing Infrastructure Levy providing a further £500m funding for local authorities to build new homes and the government removing the Local housing allowance (LHA) cap."

Diana Barrett commented: "I am delighted to be joining Capsticks, a national firm which advises clients across all aspects of their property portfolios. Over the last 15 years or so, I have led local authority regeneration teams and this experience will help Capsticks deliver a first class service, working in partnership with clients to deliver estate regeneration schemes."
