Experience
Simran is an Associate in the Employment and Pensions team, handling employment law claims. Simran joined Capsticks in July 2023, as a newly qualified solicitor after completing the Solicitors Qualifying Exam. Simran is experienced in representing a range of healthcare organisations and police clients across contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
Expertise
Simran has a strong record in defending Tribunal claims including claims of whistleblowing, unfair dismissal and discrimination more generally, as well as pay and beach of contract claims. Simran also has experience with the Employment Appeals Tribunal and Police Misconduct Hearings.
Simran advises clients on a number of non-contentious queries, including grievances, disciplinary processes and performance concerns. Simran also assists in overseeing a team who manage voluntary redundancy and mutually agreed redundancy projects for healthcare clients.
CSR activity
Simran is an active member of the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiatives such as the pro bono clinic at the Wimbledon Guild.
