Sarah is an Associate in our Housing and Regeneration team and acts for investors, property developers, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and housing associations in relation to asset and portfolio acquisitions of commercial and residential property.
Expertise
Sarah is experienced in relation to the acquisition of both commercial and residential property, land acquisitions, deeds of easement and commercial leases. Sarah has obtained valuable insight into the commercial aspects of how property portfolios are acquired, managed and funded by investors, having completed a secondment with a private fund in the healthcare sector.
Her sector specialisms include specialised supported housing (SSH), social housing, residential care and education. Sarah advises on all property aspects of the investment life-cycle from site acquisitions and development, to joint ventures and the structuring and grant of occupational leases.
Sarah joined the firm in March 2019 as a paralegal and completed her training contract with the firm in 2022. Prior to her current role at the firm, Sarah worked for registered providers in the delivery of their plot sales programmes, in addition to land acquisitions and development agreements.
Notable projects
- Assisting with the property aspects of a £100m facility joint venture with a major investment fund in the healthcare sector, including its ongoing deployment.
- 10-month secondment to a private fund assisting with the acquisition of properties and portfolios within the residential care and education sectors and helping them achieve their fund deployment targets.
- Project lead for the acquisition of 58 units for an alternative investments manager as part of a social housing portfolio with a - 2-week turnaround.
