Senior Associate
Experience
Paige is a Senior Associate in the Claims department. She is instructed by NHS Resolution to advise on the defence of clinical negligence claims brought against NHS Trusts and GPs.
Expertise
Before joining Capsticks in 2022, Paige had several years of defendant clinical negligence experience. She has undertaken client secondments at a leading NHS Trust, supporting both their Risk and Legal departments. Paige therefore has a strong grasp of challenges that our NHS clients face on a day-to-day basis and prides herself on providing pragmatic, tailored advice.
Paige has a varied caseload spanning both pre-action and litigated matters. She also runs a number of sensitive Inquest Claim matters and Early Notification Scheme matters.
Paige works across the medical sphere but has a particular interest in high value neurological injury cases and regularly deals with birth injury matters. Paige has experience in defending fatals claims, multi-party proceedings, apportionment issues, contribution claims, and claims brought by Litigants in Person. Paige always presses for the best outcome for her client and is an active proponent of ADR when a timely and proportionate resolution is required.
Beyond case management, Paige works closely with her clients delivering training across topic issues such as consent.
Paige is a lecturer and tutor on the Capsticks Diploma in Clinical Risk and Claims Management.
CSR activity
Paige is an active member of the firm’s corporate social responsibility committee. She is a member of Capsticks’ Equality, Diversity and Inclusion taskforce and she sits on Birmingham Law Society’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, as well as the Social Mobility Sub-committee.
