Majid Hassan


Majid is a Partner in the Clinical Law team at Capsticks. He is the client partner for the MDDUS and manages their portfolio of claims and inquests. He also handles a range of medical malpractice claims for NHS bodies and medical malpractice insurers and has successfully defended at trial high value spinal injury and cancer claims. He has a particular interest in emergency medicine, cosmetic surgery, anaesthetic and obstetric cases and handles a number of high value claims including multi party actions. In addition to his litigation work Majid advises on various consent to treatment and mental capacity issues and has appeared as an advocate at inquests. Majid lectures to clients and national conferences on risk management and improving safety in medicine. He has obtained accreditation from the Institute of Risk Management and is involved in a number of patient safety research projects. Majid led Capsticks’ response to the Francis report, culminating in the publication of an interactive toolkit for clients. He is recognised as a leader in his field in both Chambers and Legal 500.
