Experience
Luke is a solicitor in the Advisory and Inquest team at Capsticks. He joined Capsticks in December 2022. He completed his training contract at Capsticks, with seats in clinical negligence (defendant) inquests and advisory. Luke has undertaken client secondments for an NHS Trust and for an ICB dealing with Inquest and Court of Protection matters, as well as general queries. Prior to this, he worked at a reputable firm specialising in healthcare law.
Expertise
Luke’s work involves dealing with healthcare Inquests, Court of Protection and Mental Capacity cases, including s.21A and s.15/16 best interests applications, judicial review matters, as well as general advice and assistance for NHS Trusts and ICBs. Luke has experience dealing with Serious Medical Treatment cases, including withdrawal of treatment.
CSR activity
Luke is an active member of the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiative, having organised a Yorkshire Three Peaks trip in the summer of 2024.
