Experience
Georgia is an associate in the Social Housing Governance Team. She acts for RPs, public sector bodies and charities on corporate governance and regulatory issues. Prior to obtaining her training contract, Georgia was a Paralegal specialising in portfolio transactions and commercial property.
Expertise
Georgia advises clients on all types of governance and regulatory work including corporate structuring, merger of organisations, and providing advice on regulatory standards. Georgia also has experience working on procurement matters, all types of finance work including loan agreements, debt capital market transactions and EMTN programmes, security charging and stock rationalisation projects at the due diligence stage.
Notable Projects
- Carried out regulatory inspection work for various local authorities in particular advising on the consumer standards
- Assisted on the merger of two registered providers
- Assisted in the registration of new RPs
- Assisted on the establishment of its £1.5 billion-euro medium-term note (EMTN) Programme of a G15 client
- Advised an RP on the refinancing of their loan facility and the amendment and restatement of their existing £96 million loan facility
- Advised a G15 RP on two sustainability linked loans of over £100 million with two different lenders
- 5 month secondment to the portfolio team of a G15 client, supporting stock rationalisation projects and liaising with their Treasury team
- Supported senior members of the team on rolling charging for a G15 client, charging regular tranches with values of circa £50m to the security trust on an unallocated basis
