Ed is a senior solicitor in the Clinical Law department. Ed has a varied case load of claims and defendant regulatory work and has worked for one of the main Medical Defence Organisations, private insurers and NHS Resolution. His caseload includes claims in not only clinical negligence and medical malpractice, but also those resulting from injuries caused by medical and pharmaceutical products and to participants of clinical trials. On the regulatory side, Ed has experience of assisting clinicians in GMC investigations, internal hospital disciplinary investigations and in preparation for Inquests. He also assists Partners within the team on higher value or more complex matters.
Ed started at Capsticks as a paralegal in December 2008 before commencing his training contract with us, and qualifying into the Clinical Law department in 2013. In that period, Ed has been on a number of secondments to NHS Trusts, NHS Resolution, a private insurer and a Medical Defence Organisation.
