Experience
Brittany is a Senior Associate Barrister in the Regulatory Team, having joined Capsticks after working in the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s case preparation and presentation team. Before specialising in professional regulation, she completed pupillage at the Criminal Bar, where she conducted a range of hearings for both the prosecution and defence.
Expertise
Brittany specialises in professional regulation and is an experienced advocate. She presents the full range of fitness to practise hearings, including cases involving sexual misconduct and complex clinical matters. Alongside her advocacy, she has experience managing cases through to final conclusion.
Brittany has advised on a number of appeals and has successfully applied to strike out an appeal at the High Court. She also has significant experience conducting High Court applications to extend interim orders.
Since joining Capsticks, Brittany has worked on cases for the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA), General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
