Aneeqa is a commercial contracts solicitor with several years of specialism in information technology law. Aneeqa leads the commercial technology team at Capsticks, providing strategic advice on high-value, business critical and complex transactions across the public sector. Aneeqa has extensive experience advising clients in the health, public, financial services and real estate sectors on these transactions.

Notable projects
- Advising a ministerial department with two substantial instructions including advising on contractual arrangements for its replacement electronic staff record service and supporting successful dispute resolution with its outgoing supplier; and procurement of its customised HR and payroll system, then successfully rebaselining the contract ahead of implementation
- Representing a local government body on several aspects of its smart ticketing programme
- Acting for a Russell Group university, including on its acquisition of a specialist ICT partner for a fully integrated student records system and the negotiation of a valuable collaboration agreement with a global technology company
- Advising various NHS Trusts on discrete technology matters, including the licensing of a novel digital pathology platform between Trusts and assisting in the resolution of software licensing disputes
- Acting as sole legal counsel on the financial and commercial approvals panel of the national information and technology partner to the health and social care system in the UK, advising on contracts and providing risk mitigation strategies for programmes worth between £250k - £52m
- Negotiation of framework contracts for IT services with Tier 1 suppliers on behalf of a leading building society, followed by the provision of advice on technology, consultancy, sponsorship and referral agreements
- Repeat instructions from a worldwide insurer with a focus on the customisation and implementation of emerging technologies
- Advising a supplier of software for office space optimisation in relation to several high-profile deals
