NHS Confederation is a membership organisation that brings together, supports and speaks for the whole healthcare system in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In England, the members it represents employ over 1.5 million staff, care for more than 1 million patients a day and control £150 billion of public expenditure. Through NHS Employers, the NHS Confederation supports workforce leaders across the NHS to be the best employers they can be. The NHS Confederation also hosts the NHS Race and Health Observatory, which works to identify and tackle ethnic inequalities in health and care by facilitating research, making health policy recommendations and enabling long-term transformational change.

Marie Pritchard, Director of People and Governance at NHS Confederation, commented:

"We work tirelessly to create systems that work in the best interests of communities that our members support. It’s imperative that the resources we have around us are also focused on creating communities that thrive. Capsticks’ industry knowledge and reputation, and its aim to work with organisations that make a difference, really is the foundation of this partnership."

Andrew Rowland, Head of Healthcare at Capsticks, said:

"Our healthcare lawyers have been advising the NHS for over 40 years and this appointment is testament to our understanding of, and reputation in, the sector. Continuing to partner with NHS Confederation in its legal work will not only support both organisations’ long term goals but will also have a direct impact on the communities NHS trusts work with every day."
