Naomi Roper has joined Capsticks as a Partner in its housing team to lead the banking practice. Naomi is a banking and finance specialist with a particular interest in social housing finance and ESG (environmental, social, governance). She is joining Capsticks after over 19 years at Trowers & Hamlins.

Naomi specialises in green, social, and sustainable finance as well as impact investing. Notably she was a member of the original working groups for the implementation of the Sustainability Reporting Standard and the Equity Impact Project. The later project, led by Big Society Capital aimed to provide institutional investors in affordable housing with equity impact information.

Naomi has worked with both borrowers and lenders in the social housing finance sector. She is well-known for her commercial acumen and her no-nonsense approach to completing tasks. She has extensive knowledge in all aspects of social housing and development finance with a focus on debt capital markets transactions. Building on the recent addition of Sarah Darvell in the housing team, Naomi will be responsible for leading Capsticks’ banking offering for social housing clients.
