Positive Action - Learning and discussion points

In August 2018, we published a briefing note on positive action (PA) in response to the increasing number of queries we had received about PA following the introduction of gender pay gap reporting. Since then, we have held an event for HR Directors in the NHS, chaired by Jane Farrell of The EW Group, where we discussed PA in practice and the barriers which stand in the way of improving diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the NHS workforce.  We have also spoken at network events where those working in HR have shared their views on this topic. 

We wanted to capture the main points to take away from these discussions and so have produced this follow-up article.  Some of the information you will already know, but where you are trying to raise awareness of PA and how it can be used in your organisation, it may be useful to share this article with others.
