Capsticks has increased its capacity to offer dedicated support to clients facing defendant personal injury claims, having brought in a new team comprising Partner Natalie Simpkins and Legal Directors Edward Weaver and Deborah McClean.

Natalie, the new lead of Capsticks’ defendant personal injury practice, has over eleven years’ experience in handling catastrophic, large-loss claims for defendants such as Lloyd’s syndicates, insurers and self-insured organisations. She has spent all of her career dealing with claims including brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputation claims and chronic pain cases.

Ed has over 25 years’ experience handling fast and multi-track personal injury claims on behalf of insurers and self-insured clients including claims involving brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputation claims, disease and chronic pain. He also gained specialist expertise in defending complex motor, employers’ and public liability claims.

Deborah has defended road traffic accidents (RTA), employers' liability and public liability, health and safety law, occupational health and disease claims for more than 20 years, bringing invaluable experience in supporting local authorities as well as resolving catastrophic injury claims and providing strategic advice within healthcare and prison settings.
