Rachel Shapton-Smith
Principal Associate
Rachel is a Principle Associate in Capsticks’ Corporate and Commercial team having joined the firm in November 2015 from DAC Beachcroft.
She provides contracting and commercial legal advice to both private and public sector clients, primarily in the health and social housing sectors.
Rachel has particular experience of advising on specialist contracting arrangements including: energy performance contracts; strategic outsourcing arrangements; social housing contracts (including asset maintenance and repair framework contracts); integrated care arrangements (including alliance contracting in the NHS) and PFI/Projects documentation. She also provides advice on general commercial documentation, such as non-disclosure agreements, partnership arrangements, licences and contracts for goods and services (including NHS Standard Contracts).
In 2012, Rachel spent six months on secondment with AXA Sunlife, advising on a wide range of general commercial and insurance matters and transactions.
Rachel is a member of the Law Society.
