Nimi practised for 7 years at the independent Criminal Bar, undertaking prosecution and defence work in the Crown Court.
After moving from the Criminal Bar, Nimi worked as in house counsel for the General Medical Council preparing and presenting cases before fitness to practise panels, and leading on advocacy work.
Since moving to Capsticks, Nimi has continued to undertake fitness to practise work and has experience of working with most of the national health and social care regulators. She has also acted regularly for the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Professional Standards Authority. As well as overseeing all aspects of investigatory casework, Nimi regularly appears before a variety of different committees and panels, prosecuting regulatory cases including sexual misconduct cases, complex frauds and serious cases of deficient professional performance. Nimi also presents cases before NHS England panels.
Nimi specialises in witness skills training and has run sessions for a variety of corporate and regulatory clients. She has also run numerous training days for committee members and expert witnesses. Nimi was junior counsel in the High Court appeal Yeong v GMC  EWHC 1923 (Admin).
Nimi is ranked in the legal directories and has recently been described as "exceptional," with sources highlighting her "careful analysis of the law, which is invariably spot-on, and her superb forensic instincts”.
