Kate Dimes Letters
Kate is a Senior Solicitor (qualified in Australia) at Capsticks. She works in the Health Advisory and Inquests team and specialises in advising on a range of health and information law issues for healthcare and housing clients.
Kate is a member of the Public Law team at Capsticks and has experience in providing advice on Court of Protection applications, including best interests decision, treatment withdrawal, serious medical treatment and deprivation of liberty. Kate also advises healthcare clients in relation to CQC inspections, mental health law, mental capacity, consent and disputes between public bodies.
As part of the Information Law team, Kate also provides advice on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 in the UK, as well as the FOI Act, the Environmental Information Regulations, the Access to Health Records Act, the common law obligations of confidentiality and obligations under Article 8 ECHR.
