Experience
Jen is a Partner in our Social Housing Development team and has over 14 years’ experience in the social housing sector, including 5 years in-house and Jen’s 8.5 years PQE have been spent entirely within the social housing sector.
Prior to joining Capsticks, Jen headed up the Housing & Regeneration (Property) team of a North West based firm which dealt with development, home ownership and commercial property matters for Registered Providers and charitable institutions. The team was ranked Tier 1 in Legal 500 for ‘social housing’ in the North West.

Her experience includes development and regeneration nationally from all angles e.g.:

- Conditional agreements including those specific to the housing sector such as ‘golden brick’ and ‘turn-key’

- Large scale regeneration projects including residential, commercial and community elements

- Infrastructure agreements

- Supported housing lease arrangements – including those involving acquisition by a REIT
- Commercial property leases and associated documents
- Stock rationalisation

- Consolidation exercises

- Title rectification
- Considering grant implications in deal structures
Jen also assists a number of clients with training their teams on the processes and requirements of development and regeneration. Having knowledge of transactional elements and practical considerations for RPs the ‘end product’ is considered from the outset of a Development.
