Emma has a wide range of experience of advising numerous NHS trusts, Community Health Partnerships, CCGs, CSUs, GPs, social enterprises, national regulatory bodies, charities, NHS England and NHSPS on all aspects of their property requirements.
Emma works with a varied client base and is used to providing advice on the whole range of transactional matters including general property management advice, estate regularisation, acquisitions and disposals, site developments (including overage arrangements), landlord and tenant matters and property portfolio management and reviews.
Emma also has substantial experience of working in-house for NHS bodies having completed a secondment in the legal team at NHS England and is currently on a significant and very successful part-time secondment at CHP assisting with the regularisation project.
Emma is an active member of the firm’s mental health awareness programme and is being trained as a mental health first aider.
Emma is the main property advisor to a large mental health trust based in Manchester and has acted on a number of portfolio management matters including acting on the new £10 million development for young people with mental health problems which won the “Design project of the Year” at the first Design in Mental Health Network National Awards
Emma also assisted an NHS trust in Northumbria with its time critical surplus land disposal programme which consisted of the sale of key surplus land sites by 31 March 2015.Emma is the key property advisor to a large teaching hospital in South Yorkshire and acted on the acquisition and lease of land for the installation of a new PET/MRI scanner in conjunction with the University.
