Dejan joined Capsticks in 2019. Prior to joining Capsticks, Dejan practised at the bar in criminal and regulatory law. After gaining wider regulatory experience at the financial ombudsman service and the serious fraud office, Dejan was regulatory Counsel at the NMC and Head of Professional Discipline at the Association of Optometrists. Since joining Capsticks Dejan has led on the investigation of fitness to practise cases for the NMC, the GDC and the SRA.
Dejan is an active member of the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiatives such as the Harris-Capsticks Academy Scholarship. This summer he mentored a group of students from the Harris Federation sixth form who were considering a career in Law.

Prior to joining the Bar, Dejan completed an internship at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Holland. Dejan also worked for Amicus in Texas, U.S.A. assisting attorney’s with appeals against the death penalty.
