Anna Walsh


Anna leads a team handling claims instructions from NHS Resolution and instructions from Lloyd’s insurers in wide-ranging medical malpractice matters, including claims, inquests and other formal investigations by the police, the CQC and the HSE involving private hospitals, cosmetic clinics, care homes, health sector staffing agencies, salons, physiotherapy centres and sexual health and family planning services. Anna advises on medical malpractice insurance cover and indemnity arrangements and the issues and disputes which can arise. 

Anna has a special interest in fatal claims, brain damaged baby cases, matters involving sensitive issues and safety and learning. Anna regularly handles very high value, catastrophic injury claims and claims involving novel issues. Anna also has experience of advising on claims against medical teams within elite sport. 

Anna leads on advising clients in the NHS and independent sector on their contractual indemnity arrangements with other parties involved in the delivery of their services and has a special interest in assisting and advising clients who are new to the UK healthcare market on governance and risk, insurance arrangements and their data requirements.
