Anna Walsh


Anna was a trainee solicitor at Capsticks and is now a Partner, who qualified into the Clinical Negligence department in September 2013.

Anna acts on instructions from NHS Resolution in claims brought against NHS Trusts and from Lloyd’s insurers in wide-ranging medical malpractice matters, including those against private hospitals, clinics and care homes and recommendations made by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. She has a special interest in fatal claims, brain damaged baby cases, matters involving sensitive issues and safety and learning. Anna regularly handles very high value, catastrophic injury claims. Anna also has experience of advising on claims against medical teams within elite sport.

In addition to her claims work, Anna advises insurers on policy coverage and challenges to policy coverage decisions. Anna is also instructed by insurers for inquests and criminal investigations arising from fatal incidents at health and social care organisations.
