Amy Millson


Amy is an associate in the Employment Team. She has experience of advising the commercial, public and third sectors, and has extensive healthcare knowledge, advising NHS organisations and GP practices on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

Amy supports organisations to defend Employment Tribunal claims, ranging from unlawful deduction and unfair dismissal claims, to multifaceted discrimination, whistleblowing and victimisation claims.

Amy regularly advises clients on day-to-day employment related matters, such as performance management, redundancies, sickness absence, and the handling of grievances and disciplinaries. She also provides strategic advice on non-contentious issues such as restructuring, collective consultation and TUPE.

Amy has experience of advising NHS Trusts in respect of performance concerns involving Doctors, under ‘Maintaining High Professional Standards (‘MHPS’) in the Modern NHS’, and also frequently provides support to organisations in relation to employment issues concerning Directors and Senior Executives.

Amy provides training to Managers, HR professionals and organisations on a range of employment law topics, including TUPE, employment status, and discrimination.

Notable projects

Amy was heavily involved in the Junior Doctors Contract Judicial Review, and subsequently advised Trusts on the implementation of the new contract.
