Alison is an experienced lawyer who has worked both at the Independent Bar and in-house at Capsticks and her areas of practice have included clinical negligence, inquests, professional negligence, healthcare law, professional disciplinary proceedings and personal injury work.
Alison has experience managing high value and complex litigation often involving difficult questions of causation and assessment of loss. She has been involved in several Independent Inquiries into homicides, both as a Chairperson (Independent Inquiry into the care and treatment of KK) and representing clients (Independent Inquiry into the care and treatment of Peter Bryan and Richard Loudwell). She has also frequently represented clients at inquests and in professional conduct proceedings.
