Governance: Getting it right—working together to improve health and social care
The White Paper sets out ambitious plans for integration across health and care organisations at neighbourhood, place and system levels. Whilst the proposed legislative reform will give Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) a statutory footing, the governance arrangements to enable effective collaboration between ICSs and other organisations are largely left for local determination.
Andrew Rowland (head of healthcare) will be joined by public law partner Peter Edwards will discuss:
- the ICS journey – what the White Paper tells us about the journey to statutory body status
- interim governance arrangements for system working before 2022
- creating effective place-based partnerships
- how will primary care have an effective voice at the ICS table
