Flexible working in the NHS – discussion and workshop with NHS Employers and Flex NHS

Our expert employment lawyers will be joined by Caroline Waterfield, Assistant Director at NHS Employers, and Kate Jarman, Director of Corporate Affairs at Milton Keynes University Hospital and co-founder of the Flex NHS Campaign.

We will look at the case for flexible working for all staff, the part it has to play in attraction and retention and its impact on diversity and the gender pay gap. We will also be discussing what HR teams can do to promote flexible working and support culture change within organisations.

During the workshop, we will focus on two key groups: nursing and admin and support and look at case studies where staff successfully work flexibly in these areas and the lessons that have been learned. We would like to encourage an open conversation between attendees about the difficulties presented by flexible working and share experiences of solutions.

This event will offer you the opportunity to get involved in discussions about flexible working and gain confidence in dealing with this issue. You will also be able to put questions to our legal team, Caroline and Kate and network with your peers and colleagues.
