Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability

Capsticks is proud of its long-standing partnership with the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney, and the firm's funding of the Hospital's patients' IT Suite through a variety of activities, such as:

  • volunteer work at the Hospital
  • sponsored activities (for example, staff have formed inter-departmental and inter-office triathlon teams)
  • charity events, both at Capsticks and the RHN (for example, junior Capsticks staff hold annual Christmas bake-offs and charity parades and the firm also holds regular book sales)

Based in Putney, the Hospital specialises in treating individuals who have suffered damage to their brain or nervous system, often caused by traffic accidents and illnesses. Often the victims are young people. The Hospital's IT Suite and its sophisticated therapeutic equipment help to liberate many of the Hospital's patients, transforming their ability to communicate and access technology for leisure and communication.

Feedback:

“Capsticks are the RHN’s premier corporate supporter, donating vital funding for our Computer Room Sessions to help disabled patients learn how to use assistive technology such as communication devices. This service is entirely voluntarily funded and Capsticks are the major contributor. All levels of Capsticks staff and partners regularly visit the hospital to see our work and their endorsement as a company and as individuals is hugely helpful to us.

Capsticks’ staff participate in our fundraising events and show great enthusiasm in organising their own, with the next event planned for November. They make their offices available to us for training away days, giving us space to think, and freely giving their own thoughts by participating in our market research, our brainstorming and strategic planning.

Such is the level of connection between our two organisations and our respect for what Capsticks contribute to the RHN, for the second year running Capsticks partners have been asked to formally present our annual staff awards at which we recognise long service and excellence among our team. Who else, but they!”
