Capsticks announces partnership promotions and new role of Legal Director
Capsticks, the leading health, social care and housing law firm, has promoted two of its Associates to the role of Partner. Matthew Hunter, from the firm’s Real Estate Division and Abi Condry, from the Litigation Division, take up their new roles with effect from 1 May 2017.
Matthew advises healthcare clients such as Community Healthcare Partnerships and major Hospital and Mental NHS Trusts across London and the South of England and is a noted real estate expert, particularly in relation to public private partnerships. His work will continue to focus on healthcare property and he will also develop pharmacy and retail work as new sectors for the firm.
Abi trained with Capsticks and her area of expertise is property litigation. She is now a partner in the firm’s Litigation Division working for a wide range of healthcare and housing providers, including housing association, VIVID.
In addition Capsticks has announced a new role within the firm of Legal Director and promoted four lawyers to this position:
Siwan Griffiths, Clinical Law
Cassius Box, Clinical Law
Bridget Prosser, Employment
Jane Barker, Litigation
The new role was created in response to staff consultations where lawyers wanted a credible alternative to partnership in order to recognise outstanding expertise, client service and ability at a senior level.
Rachael Heenan, Capsticks’ new Senior Partner said, “Congratulations to all those newly promoted and all our candidates who had demonstrated excellent client and technical skills. We are really proud to have such a wealth of internal talent within Capsticks which is recognised internally and externally by excellent client feedback. They are great role models at Capsticks for all our teams.”
