Reputation management

Examples of our work in this area

  • We represented Broadmoor Hospital in seeking an injunction to prevent the publication of a book in which certain patients and staff were identified.
  • We have advised and represented hospitals facing the broadcast of “covert footage”, often obtained by healthcare staff, and have assisted trusts in protecting their own reputation, and the identity of staff and patients, in such circumstances.
  • We have obtained injunctions to prevent national newspapers from publishing personal details of healthcare workers with blood borne viruses. These instructions are often received through our emergency advice service and we are experienced in obtaining injunctions at short notice to prevent publication the next day.
  • Our work with the NHS bodies involved in the Baby Peter case provides an excellent example of how Capsticks can work in partnership with trusts to minimise adverse publicity and manage all the various ramifications that such a major issue can cause.
